Description
Very floriferous, the Peach Drift Rose produces enormous clusters LOADED with beautiful double flowers with petals in shades of peach and pink with golden tones that cover the dwarf mounds of foliage in spring reblooming again up to 5 times through the season until the first hard freeze in late fall.
The new family of Drift Roses are comparable to the family of Knock Out Roses in disease resistance and low-maintenance, however are much smaller in size. They get their small size from being a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses. From the former they kept toughness, disease resistance and winter hardiness. From the miniatures, they inherited their well-managed size and repeat-blooming nature.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Being dwarfs, Drift Roses are ideal for use as a specimen in small garden spaces or solo or combined with other plants in pots, planters and other containers. In larger landscape spaces plant them in groupings, mass plantings or as a border along walks and pathways for stunning floral displays and vibrant splashes of season-long color. The Drift Roses are ones that we don;t hesitate to recommend for use in home foundation plantings.  Â
Suggested Spacing:Â Â 2 to 2.5 feet apart for groupings and solid borders;Â 5 feet or more apart for space between plants

Note:Â Â For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 4a, where this Drift Rose variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Requirements
Drift Roses are exceptionally easy to grow in average, well-drained soils with medium moisture in full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, the Drift roses require morning sun to dry the morning dew from their leaves, which prevents powdery mildew from forming on the leaves. Some afternoon shade or filtered sun is fine. We suggest 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for best flowering. Drift Roses do not require pruning, however, they do benefit from it. We cut our Drift Roses back to about 4 to 6 inches above the ground before new growth begins to emerge in late winter or very early spring. Plants will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers is not necessary however will encourage more new buds and flowers.

I ordered 30 of these last year from Wilson Brothers Gardens and the Peach Drift Roses and they are loaded with leaves and are growing so quickly! I ordered 3 more this year and they arrived in great condition. They were packed securely and moistened. They were budding out with greenery and no broken branches. Very Heathy! This company is great and I plan on ordering more plants and trees from them! And Free Shipping! ——————— WBG Reply: Hi Pamela! Thanks so much for your review of the Peach Drift Roses and glad to hear all the others you’ve planted are doing great. I bet when all these are blooming in your landscape that it’s truly stunning! Thanks also for the compliments.

I’m conflicted in writing this review. I ordered two each of three varieties of drift roses. After shopping online for the best deal and healthiest looking plants, I settled on Wilson Bros. What I didn’t realize is that they ship immediately, regardless of where you live. All other online nurseries I’ve dealt with ship at planting time for your area. So my six roses arrived within a week, and meanwhile, we have just had our fourth snowstorm in March here in New Jersey. Planting time isn’t for another two months. I called to ask what to do. They said try to keep the plants alive until planting time. Great. The plants were basically healthy, although they did already have some yellowing leaves and blackspot from being packed wet in a sealed, dark box for a week. So now I have six rather large plants I don’t have a good place for that I’m going to try to keep healthy indoors until the middle of May. Wish me luck, and be aware that they ship immediately. They don’t wait until planting time in your area. That said, the service is good and the plants seem healthy. ——————– WBG Reply: Hi Karen – We are really sorry to hear that the Drift Roses came unexpectedly early for you. We know some nurseries, especially those that ship bare root plants and trees and perennial flowers, ship according to planting time but we’ve always shipped our container-grown ornamental plants and trees within 2 to 7 days of receiving an order. That said, since you brought this to our attention, we have placed a message on every plant page that lets folks know we ship within 2 to 7 days. Regarding the plants, Drift Roses are quite cold hardy so when weather forecasters say no more temps below freezing it’s safe to plant them outdoors. After that, in following winters, there should be no concerns with cold weather. Until you plant the roses outdoors just provide enough water to keep the soil damp, but not soggy or wet. At least a few hours of light would be good too. These roses may develop yellow leaves with a little black spot in low-light conditions or during extended cloudy periods, but this has no serious long term effect on the plants and should go away when provided enough sunlight. As with all other roses, Drift’s need the morning sun to dry dew from the leaves. if the plants health declines please let us know. We stand behind every plant we ship and want them to thrive in our customers gardens. Let us know if there’s ever anything else we can help you with. We’re at your service. – Brent | Wilson Bros Gardens

My shipment arrived in good condition and the roses greened up immediately. I am very happy with my purchase.
This plant arrived well-packed and undamaged, despite the delivery person not paying attention to the instructions on the package about which end was up! The rose is doing well. I’m anxious to see it bloom. I will order again from Wilson Bros Gardens.
Great Plants. They had some blooms on them and were so nice looking. Packed very safely also.
Wilson Bros shipped me very nice plants, again. Keep up the good work! This was the last one of the Drifts I needed to have the entire collection, until they release a new one. The only variety that didn’t do too good for me was ‘Icy’…and I see no one is selling it anymore. But all the rest are doing good.
